White Oaks Comforts

If you're needing to unwind and relax, White Oaks is the perfect place for you. Away from the hustle and bustle of main town centres, and with panoramic ocean views, these charming Mauritian-styles villas give you an authentic holiday escape with all the home comforts you love. White Oaks is just south of Grand Baie, but not too close to the hustle and bustle, so you can escape back to the peace and quiet after a day out. It's the perfect location to find your holiday balance.

Start your morning before the heat of the day, with a lovely walk along the beach - watching the local fishermen on the rocks in front of the villas. From the beach on your doorstep, walk or take a gentle jog left to a local park or right along the coves leading up the west coast.

Then return for a dip in the clear and refreshing infinity pool or lounge on the expansive wooden deck, reading your book in peace on the sunbed under a shady umbrella... If you'd like to venture a little further afield, Month Choisy beach is an interesting walk or a short drive away (2kms) and you can pop into the local supermarket, Chez Popo, for picnic lunch supplies that you can take onto the beach. Spend the day chilling in the azure water and don't forget your towel, hat and suncream!

Ask our helpful on-site reservationist Manisha, to assist you with bus times or organising you a taxi or car hire. A little further up the west coast is Grand Baie, the nearest big town, which has lots of shops, a market, a cove and restaurants - ideal for a day excursion and you can always come back to the quiet for White Oaks when you've enjoyed the sights and sounds of this colourful town.

If you want to do some adventurous activities like horseriding, hiking, fishing, scuba diving or swimming with dolphins, please just ask, and we can arrange this for you on the island.

Sundowners is our favourite time of day! Back at White Oaks, there's a little private beach in front of the infinity pool...with snacks and a G&T, there's nothing better than watching the sun fall below the horizon after a beautiful day on the island. Then you can either have a private BBQ on your porch with fresh fish from the local fishermen, or cook a meal in the fully equipped kitchen and enjoy an al fresco meal as the cool evening breeze comes off the sea. Order a takeaway or head out to a local restaurant - it's lovely to have the autonomy to eat what you want, when you want it...and have a smorgasbord of options to choose from.
