South African Airways (SAA) launched a new direct flight between Cape Town and Mauritius, significantly improving connectivity between South Africa and our island paradise. From December 2025, SAA has operated non-stop flights three times a week, cutting out the need for connecting flights via Johannesburg and reducing overall travel time to around five hours.

This new route represents a major boost for Mauritius tourism and a welcome development for South African travellers, particularly those based in the Western Cape.
